the agreement

these terms are an agreement between you and Fatih Şen, who runs talen. by creating an account or using the app, you accept them. our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

who can use talen

you must be 18 or older, give your real date of birth, and keep only one account. you cannot use talen if we have closed an account of yours before for breaking these terms.

your account

you sign in with apple or google and are responsible for what happens in your account. keep your profile honest, and tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.

community rules

talen is for practising languages with real people. follow our safety guidelines, and never:

• harass, threaten, bully or shame anyone, or post hate speech.
• send sexual content, or approach anyone who seems under 18.
• ask for money, passwords or personal details, or run scams.
• pretend to be someone else or create fake accounts.
• send spam, advertising or links to sell something.
• break the law or help someone else do it.

your content

what you write, say and share stays yours. you let us store, show and deliver it to the people you send it to, only so we can run talen. you are responsible for what you share.

we review reports, and we may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these terms. if we act on your account, you can write to us to ask why or to appeal.

free accounts and premium

talen is free to use. free accounts can start a limited number of new conversations each day and have limits on creating groups.

premium is a subscription you buy through the app store or google play. the store charges you, renews it until you cancel, and handles refunds under its own rules. you can cancel any time in your store's subscription settings. we show prices in the app before you buy, and we may change premium features or prices for future billing periods after telling you.

ending your account

you can delete your account in the app at any time. you have 30 days to change your mind before it is deleted for good. deleting your account does not cancel a premium subscription; cancel that in your store's settings.

the service as it is

we work hard to keep talen running and safe, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. we are not responsible for what other people say or do, on talen or after you leave it.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of türkiye, and the courts of türkiye handle disputes about them. nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in, including the right to bring a claim there.

changes to these terms

when we change these terms, we update the date at the top. if a change matters, we tell you in the app before it applies. if you keep using talen after that, you accept the new terms.
